The 16th season of Upward Basketball and Cheerleading is quickly approaching and registration runs now until December 7, 2019.  This Basketball and Cheerleading League is for boys and girls in grades K5-6th.  The cost to participate is $75 which includes uniforms, year end prize, practices and games.

During Upward children will learn the fundamentals of basketball and cheerleading.  They will also be learning Scripture and character qualities each week.  We want to equip children to be successful on the court and off the court.  As an Upward participant your child will grow Mentally, Athletically, Spiritually, and Socially.

We will draft teams in December 2019, but all of the practices (one hour one day a week) and games (one hour on Saturday) will be held at Rocky Creek after Christmas and New Year’s.  The first week of practices will begin on Monday, January 6, 2020 (one hour weekly practice on either Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday.  Ex: Mondays 6:30-7:30PM).  Teams will also have a practice on Saturday, January 11, 2020. Weeknight practices will continue during the season and games will be played on Saturdays, January 18 to March 7, 2020.  We will conclude the season with a celebration on Sunday, March 8, 2020.

Each participating child needs attend an evaluation night in order to get more information about the season, assess their skill level, and try on the right size uniform.  Below are the evaluation times based on your last name.  If you can’t attend your designated time please attend one of the other dates.  It is important that you attend one of the three times.

• Tuesday, December 3 from 6:00-8:30pm (Last name A-F)
• Thursday, December 5 from 6:00-8:30pm (Last name G-O)
• Saturday, December 7 from 9:00am to noon (Last name P-Z)
