“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now” (Phil. 1:3-5).

I am truly grateful for how Paul expresses ever so eloquently the passion of my heart in these days. The work that God is doing among the people of Rocky Creek is absolutely astounding. My prayers are nothing less than joyful as I reflect on how God is using our church family to make a difference through gospel partnership.

Through people receiving the gospel, beginning discipleship, serving in ministry, and engaging in the mission, we have seen God do some amazing things in our midst. Just look at a quick snapshot to process the last year:

• 27% of our current church membership joined in 2019
• 11% of our average worship attendance was baptized in 2019
• 66% of worshipers were committed to a group in 2019
• 111% of our budget was received in 2019

While I am encouraged by what individuals are doing, I am amazed by what we are all doing together. By everyone contributing to the Body of Christ, we are doing more for the Kingdom work than any one person could do on his or her own. As grateful as I am for all the forward progress over last year, I cannot help but think that even more incredible days are before us.

As we take a glance back, we are reminded of God’s faithfulness. As we advance forward, we can find alignment for gospel partnerships in the coming year. I pray that you grow in eager anticipation of what lies ahead. Let’s continue to partner together for the gospel.
