Janie Chapman State Missions

And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18 - ESV

God’s goal for each life is for that person to come into a relationship with Him, and to be transformed from our old self, into the new self which is a reflection of Him. That transformation is not automatic, nor is it simple, but it can and does happen in the lives of God’s children. The Janie Chapman State Missions Offering helps South Carolina Baptist Churches to be more involved in the transformation of people all through the state, as well as around the world. The funds given to the South Carolina Baptist Convention through the Janie Chapman offering are used in these six different areas.

STRENGTHEN– Develop strong disciple-making cultures within churches.

SERVE– Help churches identify community needs & opportunities.

SHARE– Help churches share the hope of Christ.

SEND– Help churches develop missional strategies to send workers & make disciples.

START– Work to create partnerships to revitalize struggling churches & start new ones.

WMU– Provide resources to churches to help train people in missions.

Here are some specific ways your support of the Janie Chapman State Missions Offering has helped Rocky Creek to impact SC and the world.  All of these examples receive funding from the Janie Chapman Offering!

Summersalt – RC Youth go to this weeklong camp to experience Christ and grow in their walk with Him.

Disaster Relief – 3 men from RC were trained earlier this year to serve with Disaster Relief.

Palmetto Collective – 3 RC members (NGU students) have been a part of this unique opportunity of training, mentoring and serving.

Revitalization – Rocky Creek has partnered with Cedar Grove and Woodside to help come alongside to strengthen these churches.

Multi-Ethnic Ministry Support – Indian Upstate Fellowship has received financial support from the Janie Chapman offering.

WMU Mission Resources – Our children get to learn about Missions from the Children In Action materials from WMU.
