Janie Chapman State Missions Offering

“My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ.”  Colossians 2:2 NIV

The Janie Chapman State Missions Offering helps South Carolina Baptist Churches to be more involved in the transformation of people all through the state, as well as around the world. The funds given to the South Carolina Baptist Convention through the Janie Chapman offering are used in six different areas.

Develop strong disciple-making cultures within churches.

Help churches identify community needs & opportunities.

Help churches share the hope of Christ.

Help churches develop missional strategies to send workers & make disciples.

Work to create partnerships to revitalize struggling churches & start new ones.

Provide resources to churches to help train people in missions.

Here are some specific ways your support of the Janie Chapman State Missions Offering has helped Rocky Creek to impact SC and the world.  All of these examples receive funding from the Janie Chapman Offering!

Palmetto Collective
Several RC members (NGU students) have been a part of this unique opportunity of training, mentoring, and serving.

Rocky Creek has partnered with Cedar Grove, Woodside, and Tigerville to help come alongside to strengthen these churches.

Multi-Ethnic Ministry Support
Indian Upstate Fellowship has received financial support from the Janie Chapman offering.

WMU Mission Resources
Our children learn about Missions from the Mission Friends and Missions Journey materials from WMU.

Rocky Creek has assisted over the years with Good News Club at Bethel Elementary, and some are helping with Mauldin Middle to encourage teachers.

APAC Vision Trip
RC will be a part of a Vision Trip to the Asia Pacific Rim to help choose our next Unreached People Group; this partnership is through the Greenville Baptist Association and the SC Baptist Convention.

Give Online Now

Your contribution to the Janie Chapman State Missions Offering can help us reach our goal of $10,000 by October 2.  The goal represents the annual cost of supporting one college student in the Palmetto Collective.  Rocky Creek has had several students participate in Palmetto Collective over the past few years, and we have been blessed through this relationship.  Consider what you would like to give for this important offering.  You can give online, mark your envelope for Janie Chapman, or write Janie Chapman in the memo line of your check.

During the week of September 11 – 18, you can pray for a number of State Mission opportunities.
