This September we will start using a new Bible study curriculum at Rocky Creek.  Well, not really new, but new to Rocky Creek.  We wanted to find a curriculum that taught the Word of God and which allowed preschoolers, children, students, adults, and senior adults to study the same passage of Scripture each week.  We wanted a curriculum that was easy to use and had some online resources.  We found our answer in the Gospel Project from LifeWay.

The Gospel Project has been published by LifeWay for several years, and God has used this curriculum to help people better understand the Bible.  Check out this video about how Evan and his mom have a better understanding of God’s redemptive plan.

The Gospel Project takes you on a three year journey through the Old and New Testaments.  Since the cycle started in the fall of 2015, we will pick up in the Gospels (Matthew) in September 2017 and continue through Revelation during 2017-2018.  However, Pastor Travis will be sharing several key OT passages during his sermons this fall, and we’ll also be participating in a 100 day Bible reading plan which will highlight many OT Scriptures.  Therefore, as we study the Gospels and the rest of the NT, we’ll see how it ties to the OT and how it all points to Jesus.

Here are the passages that we’ll be studying in 2017-2018 scope and sequence.  Please pray about the transition to this new curriculum and that God would use it in a mighty way to deepen our love of the Bible.
