YOU CAN

MAKE AN IMPACT

Rocky Creek works with local, national, and international partners to share Christ and build believers. Our strategy challenges each person who wants to be on mission at Rocky Creek to: Pray, Give and Go.

PRAY

You can make an impact right where you are by faithfully praying for our team members on mission trips, our leaders, and our partners around the world.

GIVE

You can make an impact through faithful generosity. Your financial gifts allows Rocky Creek to reveal the love of God in our communities and around the world.

GO

Whether you’re ready to share the gospel locally or globally, throughout the year we have different opportunities to share your faith.

MISSION PARTNERS

God

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. Everything has been created by Him and for Him. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.  God is the one living and true God.  He is infinite and perfect in holiness.  God is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent.

Holli Baker - Asia

  • We kicked off our semester at Radiant School of Ministry with the Freedom Retreat. It was an incredible time as we saw students walk through shame, fear, anger, lust, abuse and a few other areas and be set free. God is preparing this class to be world changers!
  • We are currently getting our students prepared for their six week expeditions. Please pray for them (and us as we help) as they begin to support raise to head on mission trips to South Africa and Atlanta, Georgia.
  • Our international students arrive back this week! Please pray for us as we continue to form friendships, start Bible studies and share the gospel with them!

Berkeley Bagwell Gomez - Campus Outreach - San Diego, CA

  • Praise! Last month I asked for prayer that at least 1 of the 3 girls considering an internship next year with us would say yes and TWO did! We are so excited to have Ella and Sea on the team next year! Please pray for direction and provision as they begin support raising this summer and as I coordinate and oversee their hiring process.
  • Please pray that God would keep COVID away from our staff and students this week as we hope to have our winter retreat this weekend. We have 35 students signed up!
  • Carlos, Jeremiah, and I have not been feeling good the past week and took COVID tests yesterday (1-9-22). Please pray they come back negative!

Lierte Soares Junior - New England Triad

  • I’ve been working on a concentration in Missiology in order for me to have enough  credits to be accepted for a D.Min  program at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Please pray for me! I’ve finished my Master degree and now God has opened this door.
  • Pray for our business meetings happening in the first Sunday of February in both churches ( Vermont & MetroWest Boston )
  • Pray for wisdom & vision for our 2022 church budget for both churches ( Vermont & MetroWest Boston )
  • Pray for wisdom to our leadership in both churches as we navigate this season with Covid-19 Pandemic increase.
  • Pray for our health & church families dealing with Covid-19 & fear related to the times we’re living today.
  • We ended up the year of 2021 with good health & joy! God is working in both churches!

Jacob - Eastern Europe

  • Our office has been closed for a good portion of December and is still closed until Mid January. Therefore, we have not had as many interactions with students. This has been a slow season and usually is because of the holidays and cold weather.  Pray the Lord would draw new college students into our building as we open again soon.
  • That the Lord would empower us to share boldly and persuasively.
  • Continue to pray for Strahinja as we read through John, that the Lord would open his heart.
  • I have many close friends who have a hard heart. Pray that the Lord would soften their hearts and that Christ would reign there instead.

Pastor Honorato Paguay - Ecuador

  • Pray for leadership (1) existing leaders to follow Pastor Honorato (2) existing leaders who are not equipped or have moral issues, (3) additional leaders that are needed.
  • Pray for Henry Hortiz, who will be traveling from Texas to seek to help with some leadership training.
  • Pray for Pastor Honorato’s health and his family.  Pastor has diabetes and needs to take care of his health.  His son Virigilo is applying for US Immigration so he can live with his wife in NY.
  • Pray for Pastor Ernesto as he helps to produce videos for training the leaders (and leaders within local Hispanic Churches).

Rebecca - Central Asia

  • The school I work at is hoping to finalize a contract to begin construction of our new school during either January or February. There are a couple of points that the school wants written into the contract that are currently causing some issues. Pray that everything would work out and that those making the decision would have clear guidance as to whether or not to continue with the current construction company or find a new one.
  • Our second semester starts in the middle of January and we’re actually getting a bunch of new students which is exciting for sure! Pray that they’d feel welcomed – we’re a small school and when a whole grade only has 15-20 students (many of whom have been together for years) it’s sometimes hard for new kids to find a place, especially when they’re starting halfway through the year.

Greg Queen - IMB Church Mobilizer

  • Praise for the generosity of Southern Baptists. Receiving word of many churches meeting/exceeding their Mission Giving Goals. And excited and thankful for the generosity of Rocky Creek and their gifts to the Lottie Moon Christmas offering this year.
  • Pray for our missionaries as they continue to serve and impact lives for the Kingdom, even amidst challenging circumstances.
  • Pray for the local churches, especially in highly persecuted areas.
  • Continued prayers for planned discovery trips in early 2022 to Europe and South America. Please pray as we plan and mobilize for these trips.
  • Finally, continue to pray for the Lord of the Harvest to send out laborers into the harvest fields.

David's Table - Greenville, SC

  • We continue to meet on Monday evenings for Bible Study as we are going through the book of Ephesians.  A blessing is that we have grown into the Fellowship Hall.  Unfortunately with the surge of Covid lately, we are having to meet on Zoom more than in person. Pray we are able to build disciples through our meetings, live or on zoom.
  • We have many of our friends who are sick, hurt or having surgeries.  We are wondering if this is an attack of Satan because we are doing a good job of loving our friends for Christ’s sake.  Pray we would continue to love well.
  • We recently were invited to a Furman University basketball game and our friends enjoyed having that fellowship together.  Pray we can find other opportunities for our friends to gather.

West Africa Ministry

  • God is moving in our West Africa Ministry – we have two couples of missionaries on the ground now going into the village, sharing with our people there, and communicating with us so we stay up to date on those we’ve been sharing with when we’re there … so easy to see it sometimes takes so many touches to win a soul to Christ and the workers still remain few in comparison to the need to share … We also have a couple of churches still praying over teaming up with us as well … our next trip is presently planned for November, hoping God might even provide a way for a March trip, but … his Will, not ours. Our prayer is that the workers will substantially increase, the desire to share God’s Word among the lost will be our priority, and many salvations will be the result… will you be a prayer warrior? … will you go? … will you help provide for others to go? … what will be your contribution to the cause of winning the lost to Christ?.
