The best way for children to learn to minister to others is by watching their parents minister to others. Our Rocky Creek children’s families joined with our Miracle Hill Ministries missions partner in ministering to the upstate the week of April 4-8.

Projects included working with the Miracle Hill Boy’s Home as we helped with outside spring work projects, working with the Miracle Hill Children’s Home as we hosted one-day Vacation Bible School opportunities complete with crafts and recreation, and working with the Miracle Hill Thrift Stores to help them sort and organize the stores. On Saturday due to bad weather, our outdoor project was cancelled, and some of our families joined with a local church to help clean and organize their church Bible study rooms and sanctuary.

Mornings and evenings featured sessions with our pastor leading families in worship. Using fun videos, interactive games, and a time of Bible study we linked family groups together to study the Bible.

Afternoons after the mission projects included free time for families to ride canoes, paddle boats, and swings. Some choose to climb climbing walls if they did not want to walk the trails around the lake or to play on the basketball courts.

Families invested in children’s lives, gave hours of manpower to accomplish what would have taken individuals days to accomplish, and saw countless examples of God providing on-the-spot opportunities and resources as we walked alongside God in accomplishing His purposes in His kingdom work during the Miracles and Missions Family Mission Trip.
