On Sunday, June 24, a group of men from Rocky Creek was able to worship at Perry Correctional Institution and tour the facility in order to discover how we can minister to the inmates at Perry Correctional.  Men at Rocky Creek have the opportunity to encourage the inmates at Perry Correctional to pursue Jesus and seek to obey Him.

Metanoia Prison Ministries, whose sole vision is to disciple prison inmates, is looking for men to develop mentor relationships at Perry Correctional.  They would love to have a mentor for every inmate.  It involves just two Monday nights a month for 90 minutes each time.  Would you consider taking what you know about Jesus and sharing it with an inmate?  Check out an overview of this opportunity.

There will be an orientation/training on Saturday, July 28, from 8:15am to 12:15pm at the Rocky Creek Church Fellowship Hall.  You can attend in order to gather information and make an informed decision about being a mentor.  You can also find out about other opportunities for you to serve at Perry.

    • Proverbs 226 (where we escort the children of inmates into Perry to visit with their fathers).  https://proverbs226.org/
    • Christmas hygiene package distribution (where we hand out packages with soap, toothpaste, deodorant to the inmates)
    • Perry Dog Ministry (inmates train and care for recovery dogs which are then available for adoption to the local community.)

Please contact Michael Cruse to register for the orientation/training on July 28.
