Today, in the Rocky Creek Bible Reading Plan, we start reading the book of Ruth. This short book named for the central woman in the the account occurs during the difficult time of judges and displays the grace of God. A young Moabite woman, Ruth, is drawn to God, and she shows compassion and care to her mother-in-law, Naomi. Ruth stays with Naomi to support her and later becomes the great-grandmother of David and an ancestor in the line of the Messiah. Check out the video below from the Bible Project to give you an overview of the book. Hopefully, this helps you prepare for the readings over the next two days. As you read through Ruth know that God is full of grace and He orchestrates situations to fulfill His purposes.
