What if we approached our Christmas with the spirit of giving that God gave to us when He sent His Son to this earth as our Messiah? Let’s think of ways our families can give generously this Christmas. Each family will be challenged during the month of November to begin thinking about the offering they plan to give to our “Lottie Moon Christmas Offering” for our International Mission Board missionaries. Our Rocky Creek children are blessed to have met some of our IMB missionaries this past year. We are also blessed that our church will soon be sending out two collegiates who will be serving with our IMB. Our children have been part of the college students’ preparation for their mission. It is a blessing for our children to be able to put faces with the gifts that they will be giving to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.

In addition to the offering, we would like for your child to bring a dozen or more cookies for a cookie swap. Those who participate will put on food-serving gloves and put together cookie gift bags for a neighbor or teacher whom they wish to invite to our churchwide Christmas celebration the following week, December 15, 2019.

In addition to opportunities to give at our Family Christmas Party, we play some parent vs child Christmas games and get to know some of our newest families who have joined us at Rocky Creek this past year. Following the event, you might wish to go out to eat with some of our Rocky Creek Families. Plan to meet us on Sunday afternoon at 4:00pm in the fellowship hall.
