Sending Well: Central Asia Trip 2024

Sending is a piece of the DNA of Rocky Creek Church. Here are ways that you can pray for the team in sending them well.

Sending is a piece of the DNA of Rocky Creek Church. From sending the congregation out after each service to live on mission in Greenville until we meet again or sending mission teams to the ends of the earth, we are a church that seeks to send and send well. Since all peoples, tribes, and tongues have not heard the good news of Jesus, we continue to take the gospel forward just like the early church of Acts did. While our location differs from the early church, our mission remains the same, and we will continue to engage lostness until Jesus returns or calls us home. Revelation 7:9-10 gives us a glimpse of what is to come. Every nation. Every tribe. Every people and language. One purpose: Worshipping the Lord. While we look forward to what is to come, we must continue to send well until then.

On Saturday, May 4, 2024, a team from Rocky Creek departed for Central Asia with the purpose of engaging lostness directly through English clubs and sharing life with university students on the other side of the world. While we must be careful to share details of the trip due to security realities in the region, we do ask that you join us in praying for this team as they serve in this unfamiliar place. Join us in praying the following over JS, BR, EH, EL, SB, and JE.

  • Pray for the physical, mental, and spiritual health of the team throughout the trip.
  • Pray for the families and friends of those going. Two team members have never been out of the country, and the location of this trip is of concern to their families.
  • Pray for peace in the places where the team will travel.
  • Pray for the missionaries receiving the team to be encouraged and renewed through interactions and service alongside this team.
  • Pray members of the team receive clarity on their direction for future service to the Lord.
  • Pray for seeds to be planted, life stories to be told, and people to be encouraged.

To protect those serving on this trip and in the field, please do not directly tag them on social media.
