We have been encouraged by the excitement regarding our 2024 cohorts, but we also know that there have been some questions! Before registration closes on January 15, we want to take a minute and address some of the questions we’ve been getting regarding the cohorts!

When will my materials be available for pick-up?

Books can be picked up starting Sunday, January 7, near the Welcome Center! We’ve been blown away by your eagerness to be a part of a cohort! That being said, we’re anticipating the possibility of running out of materials. But no need to worry – we have more books on the way, and there will be another opportunity to get your books on January 10 at Midweek.

When do cohorts start, and how often do they meet?

The first Men’s Cohort event is on Thursday, January 18, at 6:30AM. You’ll want to read the first 2 chapters of “Spiritual Disciplines” by then. The Men’s Cohort will meet the third Thursday of every month.

The first Women’s Cohort event is on Thursday, February 8. You’ll want to have “Women of the Word” read by then.  Women’s Cohorts will meet at varying times throughout the year. You’ll be given a tentative schedule at the first meeting, but for the most part you can expect Thursday afternoon events.

If you think you will benefit from pacing or guided discussion before the cohorts, we encourage you to go ahead and join one of the cohort-related courses:

What’s the difference between a cohort and a course?

When you register for a “cohort,” you’re essentially just purchasing materials and expressing interest in attending our “cohort events” throughout the year – where you’ll discuss your cohort’s books.

Think of “courses” as electives. At our scheduled cohort events, there is a limited time for discussion. Courses give you the opportunity to dig deeper into the books with weekly, facilitated discussion and study. You DO NOT have to register for a course to be a part of the cohort nor do you have to register for the cohort to be a part of the course. However, if you registered for a cohort your All-Access Pass grants you free admission to any courses related to the cohort books throughout the year since your materials have already been purchased.

How can I stay up-to-date with what’s happening with my cohort?

We’re SO glad you asked! The answer is: Church Center. Connecting to Church Center is KEY to staying informed about cohort events, courses, and other church events. Within Church Center, you’ll able to:

  • View and RSVP for upcoming cohort events
  • Receive important updates and messages from your cohort leaders
  • Quickly find registration links for any cohort-related courses

To download Church Center, simply follow this link. If you’re registered for a cohort, you’ll automatically see your cohort at the top of the “Groups + Courses” tab.

What if I want to use an audiobook or e-book instead of a physical copy?

Rocky Creek will not provide digital options for any of the books. However, if you choose to download a digital version on your own, you can sign up for the cohort at a discounted rate. During registration apply the code “DIGITAL” to receive $35 off. If you apply this code, you will not receive physical copies of any of the books.
