Standing Firm Together

God does not intend us to navigate the challenging paths of this life alone. If we are to endure, we must commit to standing firm but doing so together.

Scripture
1 Peter 5:12-14

Standing Firm

  • A few words of inspired Scripture say more than all this world communicates.
  • Be encouraged that Christians can experience peace amid any chaotic culture.
  • We experience the grace of God in our callings and even His commands.
  • Standing firm in Christ means applying the truth – not just acknowledging it.

Standing Together

  • Peter entrusted this letter to reliable Silas so others could benefit from it.
  • Peter was accompanied by inconsistent Mark, who understood that it’s more important how you finish than how you start.
  • We establish local churches to represent the global Church and to combat any attempt at isolated Christianity.
  • A church ought to be a people who make the unwelcome feel welcome.

Standing Still

  • God is more concerned with your trajectory than your track record.
  • You will never grow as you ought to without the Word of God or the people of God.
  • This coming year cannot rob you of the peace that Christ gives you.
