Scripture
Mark 10:32-52

Wanting to Have a Servant (Mark 10:32-45)

  • Jesus repeatedly reminded His disciples that He came to embrace a cross and not to avoid it.
  • Trying to prove your greatness is a sign of true weakness.
  • You will never humble yourself for another more than Christ humbled Himself for you.
  • Jesus left the glory of heaven to take the punishment I deserved.

Wanting to Be a Servant (Mark 10:46-52)

  • Jesus has never been too busy to address a sincere cry for help.
  • Jesus makes it His priority to stop for people who have been silenced and sidelined.
  • The path of discipleship is acknowledging my inability, trusting Jesus’ mercy, and altering my course.
  • You know that you have been truly changed by Jesus if you want to follow wherever He leads.

I can tell a lot about the health of your priorities by how you answer this question: What Do you Want Jesus to do for you?
