In a time when children were viewed as distracting annoyances, Jesus intentionally prioritized them. Not only should we prioritize children, but we should start acting like them when it comes to the Kingdom of God.

Including Children (Mark 10:13-14)
- In Jesus’ day, people viewed children as burdens instead of blessings.
- The only time Scripture describes Jesus as indignant is when people were trying to hinder children from coming to Him.
- We must evaluate as individuals and as a church if we helping or hindering a child’s view of Jesus.
- The ideal discipleship environment is for a family to be close together and close to Jesus.
- You don’t have to tell your children what your priorities are – your actions have already told them.
Imitating Children (Mark 10:15-16)
- Jesus eagerly welcomes children ready to receive salvation.
- The job of parents is to discern the motive of a child’s desire to become a Christian.
- The kingdom of God is always received and never rewarded.
- Child-life faith is not only sufficient – it is mandatory.
- To come to Jesus, we must realize that we have nothing to bring but our immaturity and incapability.
